Read manages the business affairs, administration, and back office efforts in the Montecito office, where his job responsibilities are office operations, budgeting, compliance, account administration, client service, and special projects. He leads the coordination between the California and Vermont offices, insuring communications and synchronization of client services and team efforts. He is a graduate of Champlain College having obtained his General Business degree in 2001. After graduation Read moved to California from Vermont to work in the Montecito office. Read works closely with the COO, CFO, and CIO to grow and manage the West Coast operations. In his free time Read enjoys motorcycling, bicycling, tennis, bow hunting, cars, martial arts, flying, fishing, snowboarding, skiing, and golfing. Read is an accomplished second degree black belt in Hapkido and a first degree in Taekwondo. Read has an extensive motorcycle racing history, winning the Vanson Rookie of the Year in 1998, and then going on to win the GT3 Championship in 2000. Read loves the woods and never misses an opportunity to be in the outdoors. Being a Vermont native he grew up hiking and camping, some of his fondest memories are the trips with his family to the Quantico National Park in Canada. Read is married to Lilly, who is a first grade teacher and together they have a toy poodle named Moxie.
