Wil is based in our Montecito office. In addition to portfolio management, he is a trader and a manager analyst. Wil researched, constructed, and launched the Equinox Water Fund along with Dave Brigham. Wil is responsible for our Microfinance manager research effort. He also has experience in charitable foundation administration.
Wil received a Masters degree in International Finance and Business at Columbia University, and a Bachelor's degree with honors from Manhattanville College where he studied international relations and economics. Prior to college, Wil received an alpine ski scholarship to attend the Whiteman School in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. He has been known to take out a client or two to improve their skiing.
Wil grew up in a woodsy area of New York across the river from West Point Military Academy. Apart from his passion for investing, Wil is an alpine ski coach and competitor, an active cyclist, and generally enjoys the outdoors. Wil and several Manchester Capital colleagues have recently taken up ice hockey.
Wil has spent considerable time abroad. He has spent a semester trekking in the Ecuadorian rainforests and living with a local family. While an undergraduate, he studied economics at the University of Seville in Spain, and following graduate school he lived in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Needless to say he is fluent in Spanish.
